    • Vice President John Abner calls the meeting to order at 09:00.
    • President Ismael Castro calls Chapter Meeting at 10:04.

    • Annual Picnic Prep: All food has been pre-ordered, just pending final count.
  8. New Business
    • Online Meeting Equipment: Thanks to the City of Kissimmee, we have a new Owl for our online meetings.
    • CFBOAF Pins: Do we want to order more with ICC coming to town?
      • Answer: Yes

    • ICC Event Preparation: Do we need to do anything for ICC coming to town?
      • Suggested to speak with Dottie.
    • Training Opportunity: Teaching the When Disaster Strikes class in May.
      • Decision: Teach the class in May in Mt. Dora and limit it to 25 people.
    • Permit Tech Conference: BOAF’s permit tech conference is coming up.
      • 120 people signed up so far; sells out at 150.
  9. Committee Reports
    • Education – Chris Langford / Renata Minoga
      • Classes are currently offered through July.
    • Legislative – John Abner
      • Promoting the State BOAF’s website.
      • Legislative Day is March 18, 2025.
      • BOAF President Glenn Dobson and Ron Leiseca met with Florida State Representative Johanna Lopez (District 43) about HB 43.
      • Several bills are being proposed; one to watch is HB 287.
      • Encouraged involvement to ensure voices are heard.
    • Activities – Christopher Richardson / Jennifer Johnson
      • Fun in the Sun with Guns rescheduled for April 12, 2025, at St. Cloud Range.
      • Picnic scheduled for March 29, 2025, at Osceola Heritage Park Expansion Building.
      • Decision: Get just the outside band for the picnic.
      • Tom Allen to bring grill and charcoal.
    • Scholarship Committee – Allen Johnson
      • Deadline: March 7, 2025.
    • Nominating Committee – Tom Allen
      • Two candidates for chapter director.
      • One candidate for state director.
    • By-Laws Update – Ashley Ong
      • No new updates.
    • BOAF State Director Report – Tom Allen
      • Next meeting: March 17, 2025.
      • Nominations for state awards are now available.
    • Mutual Aid – Tom Allen
      • No updates.
      • Promotes When Disaster Strikes training.
    • Region 9
      • Next meeting: 3rd week of March.
      • Encouraged members to visit the new Region 9 website.
    • ICC Update – Dottie Mazzarella
      • ICC Leadership Academy is coming up in April in Orlando.
      • Congratulated the chapter for ongoing efforts.
      • Ann Russo and Dottie are preparing the annual benefits highlight.
      • Building & Safety Month preparations have begun.
      • ICC ABM awards submission deadline: May 15, 2025.
      • Code of Scholarships available for financial aid to attend ABM.
      • Tom Allen proposed a chapter Building & Safety Month proclamation.

      • 2021 ICC Exams Transition:
        • 2018 ICC exams will be phased out on July 1, 2025, and replaced with 2021 ICC exams.
    • BCAIB Update
      • Next meeting: Tomorrow in Orlando.
      • April meeting scheduled for April 24-25 in Fernandina Beach.

    • No updates.
  11. Code Interpretation Discussion
    • Question: If a jurisdiction adopts the FBC 8th Edition, are the supplements automatically adopted?
    • Answer: Yes.
