 What's New On the Website (last 6 updates): 

• Added Conference photos on home page and photos and summary on new 2013 Annual Conference subtab under DID YOU KNOW

• Added statement of who BOAF is and what BOAF is about.  See subtab under DID YOU KNOW.  This was passed out to our legislators March 20th at Legislative Day. Click here.

May 9th, 2012 --Judith Hecker of the Department of Health presented a program on HB1263 that went into effect on April 27th giving full responsibility for plan review of commercial pools to buidling departments.  The Department of Health is now responsible only for issuing permits to operate these pools.  Contact: Judith_Hecker@doh.state.fl.us

         Typical Chapter Meeting Schedule

• Class/Program from 9-10 am
• Business Meeting from 10:15 to 11:30  (times are approximate)
• Meeting ends with the 50/50 drawing.  Portion retained by chapter goes towards college scholarship program.
• Every other month the Chapter meeting is followed by a meeting with the HBA Joint Issues committee geared towards improving various aspects of relations between building departments and the construction community.

Meetings are held at the City of Maitland's new city hall building located at 1776 Independence Lane.

The 61st Annual Educational Conference and and Trade Expo got underway Monday, May 19th.  Below President Gary Brevoort conducted the opening business meeting.

Officers serve a term of one year in their position and, subject to vote of the members, move in consecutive years through the chairs from Chapter Director to Treasurer to Secretary to Vice-President to President to Past President. 

Serving as an officer is a good opportunity to give back to and work towards improving the industry that provides your livelihood.  Let an officer know if you are interested in serving.  See our By-Laws in the "About Us" section for more information on requirements and duties of officers.
